So I went to Italy last week. No big deal.
Actually it was INCREDIBLE! I loved Italy so much and I am
really grateful that I was able to go to some of the most beautiful places imaginable.
In all I went to Venice, Florence, Siena, and Rome.
The entire time felt like a dream...
beautiful people, delicious food (truffle sauce is like heaven), and incredible architecture and history.
Since this blog is about my trip to Romania and the service I (and 9 other lovely ladies) will be performing I will limit my Italy post to brief but fun posts.
I took hundreds of photos so ask me to show you and I will. As for here you only get a few gems.
ENJOY!

First stop: VENICE
We arrived to the main part of Venice by waterbus and were met by this lovely sight!
WATER:
Water is important.
It is one of nature's most valuable gifts to mankind.
Water makes up more than two thirds of our body weight.
My biggest regret is not bringing water with me and having to pay
my heart and soul for a bottle.
**Note to self: bring a water bottle everywhere. (Seriously everywhere)
Dwight has it right.
Water in Italy is expensive and thus as poor, poor college student I took advantage of spouts.
My first night in Venice started off with one item
checked off my bucket list:
GONDOLA RIDE
If you ever go to Venice then a gondola ride is essential. Preferably have a handsome gondolier who will serenade you in Italian (which ours didn't but some do).
Could life get any better?
Why yes, yes it can.
Gelato by the water.
Shops and stands are everywhere selling purses, fruit, gelato, etc. I am now chubbier and poorer.
Thanks Venice.
We visited St. Mark's Basilica and my favorite part was the lion outside in the courtyard.
Italy is beautiful and colorful. The people, language, and food is all to die for! My photo skills don't do it justice but you get the idea. Next stop...FLORENCE!
